Wedding Day

Our Wedding

We will be staying at Costa de Oro Hotel and highly recommend it as your first choice. We love this hotel — it’s our go-to every time we visit Mazatlán, and it’s very affordable. It also puts you right in the heart of everything!

Costa De Oro Beach Hotel

Hotel Viaggio Resort Mazatlán is a wonderful alternative just steps from where we will be. This newer, modern 5-star property offers direct beach access, heated pools, and a beachfront restaurant. You’ll still be right in the heart of everything!

Where to stay

Arriving at Mazatlán International Airport (MZT)

When you land, you have a few options to get to your hotel: Uber — The easiest and most affordable option. Open the Uber app as soon as you land and request a ride. Uber operates reliably at MZT and will take you directly to your hotel. Airport Taxis (Sitio Taxis) — Official taxi booths are located just outside the arrivals exit. Purchase your ticket at the booth before getting in a car — this gives you a fixed price upfront. Avoid accepting rides from drivers who approach you inside the terminal. Shuttle Services — Several shared shuttle companies operate from the airport. These are budget-friendly but may make multiple stops before reaching your hotel. Look for booking counters near the baggage claim area.

Getting Around Town

Uber — Works well throughout Mazatlán’s main tourist and hotel zones. Recommended for convenience and transparent pricing. Pulmonías — Mazatlán’s iconic open-air taxis, unique to the city. Fun and breezy, perfect for short trips along the malecón or around the Zona Dorada. Agree on a price before you get in. (⭐️Our preference ⭐️) Eco Taxis — Small three-wheeled taxis, also a local staple. Great for quick, inexpensive hops around town. Like pulmonías, confirm the fare first.

Getting Around

One of the longest seafront promenades in the world—ideal for a leisurely walk, bike ride, or sunset view. Lined with sculptures, street vendors, and restaurants; great for people-watching and casual dining.

El Malecón

Beautifully restored colonial neighborhood with colorful streets, indie boutiques, art galleries, and cafés. Very walkable.

Centro Histórico (Old Mazatlán)

Weekday games start at 7pm, weekend games at 5pm. Tickets can be bought online or at the stadium box office on game days. The atmosphere is festive, with lots of beer and food sold by vendors. It’s considered completely safe for visitors, and many foreign residents hold season tickets.

Baseball November 28-30 Los Venados

The largest aquarium in Latin America with 30 habitats and 150+ species — sharks, sea turtles, rays, sea lions, and penguins — plus a dramatic 42×23 ft ocean tank window; family-friendly, educational exhibits and live feedings. Admission is about $380 MXN for adults (discounts for children and seniors). Open daily 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Gran Acuario Mazatlán

Cerro del Crestón — Faro Mazatlán: Hike up to the tallest natural lighthouse in the world for unbeatable Pacific views. It’s a steep climb of 336 stairs, so wear sturdy shoes and bring water; the climb is free and the glass-bottomed observation deck has a small fee (≈ $2 USD). Go early morning or late afternoon when it’s cooler. Any taxi, Uber, or pulmonía driver will know the way.

Things to Do

Golden Zone (Zona Dorada)

Los Arcos — One of the best seafood restaurants in Mazatlán. Fresh fish, shrimp, and Pacific coast specialties. Pancho’s — A Mazatlán staple. Affordable, consistently great Mexican food right on the water. Perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. F.I.S.H. — A hidden gem just off the main drag in the Golden Zone. The seafood is incredible — fresh fish tacos, clam chowder, tuna sashimi, and the best margaritas. Panamá — Right on Av. Camarón Sábalo in the Golden Zone. It’s a restaurant with a fantastic bakery where you can grab pastries and cakes. The menu is huge, the portions are generous, and the price-to-quality ratio is excellent.

Old Mazatlán (Centro Histórico)

Topolo — A stunning restaurant set in a historic mansion just off Plaza Machado, with an open-air courtyard, live music, and some of the best food, make a reservation. El Cielo — A laid-back restaurant and bar right on Plaza Machado with great food, cocktails, and live music on weekends. A casual place for a meal or drinks while soaking in the energy of the plaza. La Bohemia — A bar right on Plaza Machado with outdoor seating, a beautiful old interior, and live music regularly.

Eats & Drinks

The celebration takes place outdoors in the evening, and November nights in Mazatlán can be warm but breezy, so we recommend bringing a light wrap or jacket. Out of respect for the occasion, kindly no jeans or sneakers.
